Transportation
With immediate access to interstate, rail, water and air systems, Warrick County offers many options for your business’s transportation needs. The county’s prime location makes it a convenient four-hour or less drive to St. Louis, Nashville, Louisville, Cincinnati and Indianapolis. Future construction of Interstate 69 is sure to spur further economic growth within Warrick County.
- Eight state highways weave throughout the 384 square miles of the county
- Two major interstates, I-64 and I-164, run along the county’s northern and western boundaries
- More than 40 motor freight companies are available to serve the area’s shipping needs
- Two rail companies, Norfolk Southern and Indiana Southern, provide additional ground transportation; connection is also available to the CSX railroad
Companies can also take advantage of Warrick County’s riverfront location. Three ports are situated nearby allowing businesses easy access to the Ohio River.
